Welcome to Class 5 – the Problem Solving Pandas! Read our blog by clicking here!
In class 5 the children are encouraged to be independent thinkers and learners, achieving high standards through exploring, analysing and creating.
The Year 6 children take responsibility around the school including monitor jobs to help the school run smoothly, lead games with the younger children at playtime and could even be elected as house captain. They set the example to the other children.
PE days are Wednesdays and Fridays. Please ensure that the children have the correct kit on these days. Also, the children will need their trainers in school for the daily mile.
Spellings will be given for the children to learn on a weekly basis. Other homework set will include reading, maths using mymaths and also a half termly project grid based on our topic.
This term we are travelling back in time to compare the Victorian Era with the 1980s! We shall be exploring some of the key events, inventions and people from the era, as well as learning about fashion, popular culture and some of the big changes that occurred in both eras. This work will also provide the stimulus for our art and design work.
As ever, I operate an open door policy, please come and speak to me about any aspect of your child’s education. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
