Class 5 – The Dolphins
Years 5 and 6
Mr. P. West
Mrs A. Carmichael
Welcome to Class 5 – The Dolphins!
Our Mission Statement:
In Class 5 we aspire to be role models who treat others the way we would wish to be treated. There are no limits to what we can achieve and we will always aim high to be the best that we can be. We are creative, imaginative, responsible, courageous and reflective. We hope to inspire others just as others have inspired us.
Written by Class 5.
In class 5 the children are encouraged to be independent thinkers and learners, achieving high standards through exploring, analysing and creating.
The Year 6 children take responsibility around the school including monitor jobs to help the school run smoothly, lead games with the younger children at playtime and could even be elected as house captain. They set the example to the other children.
PE days are Thursdays and Fridays. Please ensure that the children have the correct kit on these days. Also, the children will need their trainers in school for the daily mile.
Spellings will be given for the children to learn on a weekly basis. Other homework set will include reading, maths using mymaths and also a half termly project grid based on our topic.
This term our topic is “Plague!”, We shall be learning about the effects of this horrific disease in 17th Century Britain and the scientific advances that prevent an outbreak from reoccurring.
As ever, I operate an open door policy, please come and speak to me about any aspect of your child’s education. My email address is email@example.com
